چکیده

We consider the computational problem of isolating all the real zeros of a zero-dimensional triangular polynomial system Fn ⊆ Z[x1, . . . , xn]. We present a complete numerical algorithm for this problem. Our system Fn is general, with no further assumptions. In particular, our algorithm is the first to successfully treat multiple zeros in such systems. A key idea is to introduce evaluation and separation bounds, which are used in conjunction with sleeve bounds to detect zeros of even multiplicity. Our algorithm assumes a computational model of bigfloats with exact ring operations. We have implemented our algorithm and promising experimental results are shown.

Complete numerical isolation of real roots in zero-dimensional triangular systems

We present a complete numerical algorithm of isolating all the real zeros of a zero-dimensional triangular polynomial system Fn ⊆ Z[x1, . . . , xn]. Our system Fn is general, with no further assumptions. In particular, our algorithm successfully treat multiple zeros directly in such systems. A key idea is to introduce evaluation bounds and sleeve bounds. We also present a much more efficient al...

A Moment Approach to Analyze Zeros of Triangular Polynomial Sets

Let I = 〈g1, . . . , gn〉 be a zero-dimensional ideal of R[x1, . . . , xn] such that its associated set G of polynomial equations gi(x) = 0 for all i = 1, . . . , n is in triangular form. By introducing multivariate Newton sums we provide a numerical characterization of polynomials in √ I. We also provide a necessary and sufficient (numerical) condition for all the zeros of G to be in a given se...

Solving Second Kind Volterra-Fredholm Integral Equations by Using Triangular Functions (TF) and Dynamical Systems

The method of triangular functions (TF) could be a generalization form of the functions of block-pulse (Bp)‎. ‎The solution of second kind integral equations by using the concept of TF would lead to a nonlinear equations system‎. ‎In this article‎, ‎the obtained nonlinear system has been solved as a dynamical system‎. ‎The solution of the obtained nonlinear system by the dynamical system throug...

Exact statistics of complex zeros for Gaussian random polynomials with real coefficients

k−point correlations of complex zeros for Gaussian ensembles of Random Polynomials of order N with Real Coefficients (GRPRC) are calculated exactly, following an approach of Hannay [5] for the case of Gaussian Random Polynomials with Complex Coefficients (GRPCC). It is shown that in the thermodynamic limit N → ∞ of Gaussian random holomorphic functions all the statistics converge to the their G...

Further Observations on Blocking Zeros in Linear Muitivariabie systems (RESEARCH NOTE).

While attempting to clarify the confusion concerning the conceptualization of "blocking zeros" in state space in the recent literature, some new observations are made on the relationship between pole-zero cancellation and transmission blocking. An important distinction between uncontrollable and unobservable eigenvalue s is pointed out; and it is argued that the description of a Blocking Zero, ...
