On the Scalability Criterion for Comparing Modeling Approaches

چکیده
The Comparing Modeling Approaches (CMA) workshop series aims at providing a common relevant case study and a growing collection of criteria to compare different modeling approaches, from aspect-oriented to object-oriented and beyond. Among criteria to be defined and integrated, scalability is particularly relevant as the Model-Driven Engineering community identifies it as one of the main challenges ahead. In this paper, we make a first attempt at refining the scalability criterion for both approaches and their tool support, and we provide a first set of questions for this criterion.

Target Tracking with Unknown Maneuvers Using Adaptive Parameter Estimation in Wireless Sensor Networks
Abstract- Tracking a target which is sensed by a collection of randomly deployed, limited-capacity, and short-ranged sensors is a tricky problem and, yet applicable to the empirical world. In this paper, this challenge has been addressed a by introducing a nested algorithm to track a maneuvering target entering the sensor field. In the proposed nested algorithm, different modules are to fulfill...
متن کاملKey Properties for Comparing Modeling Languages and Tools: Usability, Completeness and Scalability
We discuss key properties that we have focused on when designing the Model-Oriented Programming language Umple and its support tools. Usability is key because we want to enable modellers to work rapidly, make fewer mistakes, and appreciate the benefits of modeling better. Completeness in code generation with respect to UML is important because most tools omit important semantics in the code the...
متن کاملRevising the Comparison Criteria for Composition
The Comparing Modeling Approaches (CMA) workshop proposed in 2011 a set of criteria that allows modellers to understand, analyze, classify and compare various modelling approaches. Based on feedback gained from applying the criteria, the criteria and questionnaire document were revised and extended multiple times. In this paper, we suggest a change to the criteria that is aimed at improving the...
متن کاملEvaluation of Ultimate Torsional Strength of Reinforcement Concrete Beams Using Finite Element Analysis and Artificial Neural Network
Due to lack of theory of elasticity, estimation of ultimate torsional strength of reinforcement concrete beams is a difficult task. Therefore, the finite element methods could be applied for determination of strength of concrete beams. Furthermore, for complicated, highly nonlinear and ambiguous status, artificial neural networks are appropriate tools for prediction of behavior of such states. ...
متن کاملGoal programming and analytical hierarchy process approaches for sustainable plantation
The aim of this study was to develop an optimal sustainable forest plantation based on goal programming and Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) methods. This study was carried out in Guilan province, north of Iran. First of all, the ecological capability of the study area for plantation establishment/maintenance was evaluated based on multi-factor method and specific ecological Makhdoum Model by ...
