Linking Domain-Specific Knowledge to Encyclopedic Knowledge: an Initial Approach to Linked Data
نویسندگان
چکیده
Linked Data creates a shared information space by publishing and connecting resources in the Semantic Web. However, the specification of semantic relationships between data sources is still a stumbling block. One solution is to enrich ontologies with multilingual and concept-oriented information. Usefully linking entities in the Semantic Web is thus facilitated by a semantic-oriented cross-lingual ontology mapping framework in which knowledge representations are not restricted to a particular natural language. Accordingly, this paper describes a preliminary approach for integrating general encyclopedic knowledge in DBpedia with EcoLexicon, a multilingual terminological knowledge base on the environment.

Context-enhanced Adaptive Entity Linking
More and more knowledge bases are publicly available as linked data. Since these knowledge bases contain structured descriptions of real-world entities, they can be exploited by entity linking systems that anchor entity mentions from text to the most relevant resources describing those entities. In this paper, we investigate adaptation of the entity linking task using contextual knowledge. The ...
متن کاملAemoo: Linked Data exploration based on Knowledge Patterns
This paper presents a novel approach to Linked Data exploration that uses Encyclopedic Knowledge Patterns (EKPs) as relevance criteria for selecting, organising, and visualising knowledge. EKP are discovered by mining the linking structure of Wikipedia and evaluated by means of a user-based study, which shows that they are cognitively sound as models for building entity summarisations. We imple...
متن کاملEntity Linking in Web Tables with Multiple Linked Knowledge Bases
The World-Wide Web contains a large scale of valuable relational data, which are embedded in HTML tables (i.e. Web tables). To extract machine-readable knowledge from Web tables, some work tries to annotate the contents of Web tables as RDF triples. One critical step of the annotation is entity linking (EL), which aims to map the string mentions in table cells to their referent entities in a kn...

متن کاملTopic-Driven Multi-Document Summarization with Encyclopedic Knowledge and Spreading Activation
Information of interest to users is often distributed over a set of documents. Users can specify their request for information as a query/topic – a set of one or more sentences or questions. Producing a good summary of the relevant information relies on understanding the query and linking it with the associated set of documents. To “understand” the query we expand it using encyclopedic knowledg...
