Visualisation of Multi-Dimensional Simulation Models

چکیده
In recent years, the rapid growth in computational power and the Internet bandwidth have made the creation of complex graphical computer simulations over the web possible. Accordingly, a variety of web-based simulation libraries that exploit 2D graphics have emerged. However, despite its visual impressiveness and high potentiality in the field of computer simulation and visualisation, a simulation language that uses 3D graphics has not yet been produced. Conventional wisdom dictates that performing computer simulations with 3D graphics on the web is computationally too overwhelming and hence very slow. However, in light of the huge improvement in 3D graphics technology, which is becoming so accessible and familiar in this day and age, such an allegation is questionable. This project addresses the possibility and potentiality of a web-based simulation library with 3D visualisation and attempts to provide a method of implementation of such a simulation library.

Interactive visualisation of spins and clusters in regular and small-world Ising models with CUDA on GPUs
Three-dimensional simulation models are hard to visualise for dense lattice systems, even with cutaways and flythrough techniques. We use multiple Graphics Processing Units (GPUs), CUDA and OpenGL to increase our understanding of computational simulation models such as the 2-D and 3-D Ising system with small-world link rewiring by accelerating both the simulation and visualisation into interact...
متن کاملApplication of the multi-laminate sub-loading surface model in the simulation of a pipe-jacking operation
In this paper a constitutive model formulated in the framework of multi-laminate models is applied to analyze pipe-jacking processes. The multi-laminate -based models consider various integration planes to formulate the stress-strain relationship. This basic feature of the framework has the advantage that yield criteria, flow and hardening rules are formulated on planes rather than in three-dim...
متن کاملExperimental study and numerical simulation of three dimensional two phase impinging jet flow using anisotropic turbulence model
Hydrodynamic of a turbulent impinging jet on a flat plate has been studied experimentally and numerically. Experiments were conducted for the Reynolds number range of 72000 to 102000 and a fixed jet-to-plate dimensionless distance of H/d=3.5. Based on the experimental setup, a multi-phase numerical model was simulated to predict flow properties of impinging jets using two turbulent models. Mesh...

In this study, an in-house multi-dimensional code has been developed which simulates the combustion of n-heptane in a Homogeneous Charge Compression Ignition (HCCI) engine. It couples the flow field computations with detailed chemical kinetic scheme which involves the multi-reactions equations. A chemical kinetic scheme solver has been developed and coupled for solving the chemical reactions an...
متن کاملThree-dimensional Numerical Simulation of Metal Flow and Solidification in the Multi-cavity Casting Moulds of Automotive Components
The liquid metal flow and the solidification behaviours in a multi-cavity casting mould of two automotive cast parts were simulated in three dimensions. The commercial code, FLOW-3D® was used because it can track the front of the molten metal by a Volume of Fluid (VOF) method and allows complicated parts to be modeled by the Fractional Area/Volume Obstacle Representation (FAVOR) meth...
