چکیده

Automated model transformations play an important role in modern model-driven system engineering in order to query, derive and manipulate large, industrial models. Since such transformations are frequently integrated to design environments, they need to provide short reaction time to support software engineers. Graph transformation (GT) [1] based tools have been frequently used for specifying and executing complex model transformations. In GT tools, graph patterns capture structural conditions and type constraints in a compact visual way. At execution time, these conditions need to be evaluated by graph pattern matching, which aims to retrieve one or all matches of a given pattern to execute a transformation rule. The objective of the VIATRA2 (VIsual Automated model TRAnsformations [2]) is to support the entire life-cycle, i.e. the specification, design, execution, validation and maintenance of model transformations defined by a combination Abstract State Machine (ASM) and graph transformation rule.

Transforming BPMN process models to BPEL process definitions with ATL

This paper presents a solution to the Case Study: BPMN to BPEL Model Transformation. This solution implements a bridge between two business process modeling languages, BPMN and BPEL. The proposed solution has been implemented using ATL.

Case Study: BPMN to BPEL Model Transformation

This case study considers the definition of model transformations between two languages for business process modeling, namely BPMN and BPEL. The model transformations should achieve four evaluation criteria: completeness, correctness, readability and reversibility.

Usage of Model Driven Engineering in the context of Business Process Management

This paper shows how Model Driven Engineering (MDE) and Business Process Management (BPM) can be combined when generating executable BPEL processes out of BPMN models. By adding appropriate meta-data information to the BPMN models, business patterns like model fragments or reference process building blocks and technical patterns are applied during the BPMN to BPEL transformation phase. The prop...

Implementing Workflow Reconfiguration in WS-BPEL

This paper investigates the problem of dynamic reconfiguration by means of a workflow-based case study used for discussion. We state the requirements on a system implementing the workflow and its reconfiguration, and we describe the system’s design in BPMN. WS-BPEL, a language that would not naturally support dynamic change, is used as a target for implementation. The WS-BPEL recovery framework...

A GROOVE Solution for the GraBaTs’09 BPMN to BPEL Model Case Study

In this paper we present a solution of a model transformation between two standard languages for business process modeling BPMN and BPEL, using the GROOVE tool set. GROOVE is a tool for graph transformations that uses directed, edge labelled simple graphs and the SPO approach [7]. Given a graph grammar (G, P), composed of a start graph G and a set of production rules P, the tool allows to compu...
