چکیده

A class of interacting superprocesses arising from branching particle systems with continuous spatial motions, called superprocesses with dependent spatial motion (SDSMs), has been introduced and studied in Wang [26] and Dawson et al. [8]. In this paper, we extend the model to allow discontinuous spatial motions. Under Lipschitz condition for coefficients, we show that under a proper rescaling, branching particle systems with jump-diffusion underlying motions in a random medium converge to a measure-valued process, called stable SDSM. We further characterize this stable SDSM as a unique solution of a well-posed martingale problem. To prove the uniqueness of the martingale problem, we establish the C2+γ-regularity for the transition semigroup of a class of jumpdiffusion processes, which may be of independent interest. The corresponding stochastic partial differential equations (SPDE in abbreviation) for each stable SDSM is also derived in this paper. Superprocesses with Dependent Spatial Motion and General Branching Densities

Abstract We construct a class of superprocesses by taking the high density limit of a sequence of interacting-branching particle systems. The spatial motion of the superprocess is determined by a system of interacting diffusions, the branching density is given by an arbitrary bounded non-negative Borel function, and the superprocess is characterized by a martingale problem as a diffusion proces...

Superprocesses with Coalescing Brownian Spatial Motion as Large-Scale Limits

Large scale limits of interacting particle systems and measure-valued processes have been studied by many authors; see, e.g., Bojdecki and Gorostiza (1986), Cox et al. (2000), Dawson (1977), Dawson and Fleischmann (1988), Durrett and Perkins (1999), Hara and Slade (2000a,b). In particular, Dawson and Fleischmann (1988) investigated the scaling limit of a class of critical space-time branching m...

Conditional Excursion Representation for a Class of Interacting Superprocesses

A class of interacting superprocesses, called superprocesses with dependent spatial motion (SDSMs), has been introduced and characterized in Wang [22] and Dawson et al. [7]. In this paper, we give a construction or an excursion representation of the non-degenerate SDSM with immigration by making use of a Poisson system associated with the conditional excursion laws of the SDSM. As pointed out i...

Branching diffusions, superdiffusions and random media

Spatial branching processes became increasingly popular in the past decades, not only because of their obvious connection to biology, but also because superprocesses are intimately related to nonlinear partial differential equations. Another hot topic in today’s research in probability theory is ‘random media’, including the now classical problems on ‘Brownian motion among obstacles’ and the mo...
