چکیده
In this article an inpatient case of The Mental Hospital in Zurawica was described, in which first qualitative disorders of consciousness, later a paranoid syndrome and a depressive syndrome preceded diagnosis of Lyme Borreliosis. After the therapy that was applied we observed residual organic mood disorders in the patient. Below, authors demonstrate one of the many clinical situations, where the appearance of polymorphic mental disorders preceded the appearance of a somatic disease.

متن کاملClinical findings for patients with Lyme borreliosis caused by Borrelia burgdorferi sensu lato with genotypic and phenotypic similarities to strain 25015.
In the course of performing culture isolation of Borrelia burgdorferi sensu lato for the diagnosis of Lyme borreliosis in Slovenia, we encountered nine patients who were infected with atypical strains. Molecular analyses of these strains suggested that they were more closely related to the North American tick isolate, strain 25015 (which belongs to the DN127 genomic group of B. burgdorferi sens...

In psychiatry, we generally treat mental symptoms or syndromes rather than the underlying cause of a disorder. A greater awareness of immune reactions to infections and other contributors to mental ill...
