Estimating the Required Test Volume and Effort for Software Verification and Validation

چکیده

This paper introduces an approach to estimating the test volume and related effort required to perform verification and validation activities on software projects. This approach first uses size measures of functional requirements to estimate this volume, and then effort estimation models based on these test volumes. This estimation approach takes into account other types of non-functional requirements, as documented in ECSSE-40, part 1-B.
