چکیده

Sensors provide a key feedback link allowing robotic and autonomous systems to react to their environments. Without this feedback, robotic and autonomous systems will operate in an uncontrolled manner, since they don’t have the ability to perceive and respond to their environments. The limited capabilities of static sensors especially in complex applications and environments force the use of multiple sensors operating dynamically. This paper addresses the development of multiple objects tracking system using multiple mobile sensors. For the purposes of surveillance and security, trackers use an Extended Kohonen neural network to track the moving targets in their environments. The proposed tracking algorithm can be used for single and multiple target tracking. A clustering algorithm is used in order to minimize the number of active trackers over time and hence save energy. An auction based algorithm is used for the purpose of optimizing the cooperation between trackers. Quantitative and qualitative comparisons with other recent multi target tracking approaches show that our proposed tracking algorithm can provide a good coverage, and a better energy saving.

Decentralized and Cooperative Multi-Sensor Multi-Target Tracking With Asynchronous Bearing Measurements

Bearings only tracking is a challenging issue with many applications in military and commercial areas. In distributed multi-sensor multi-target bearings only tracking, sensors are far from each other, but are exchanging data using telecommunication equipment. In addition to the general benefits of distributed systems, this tracking system has another important advantage: if the sensors are suff...

Target Tracking Based on Virtual Grid in Wireless Sensor Networks

One of the most important and typical application of wireless sensor networks (WSNs) is target tracking. Although target tracking, can provide benefits for large-scale WSNs and organize them into clusters but tracking a moving target in cluster-based WSNs suffers a boundary problem. The main goal of this paper was to introduce an efficient and novel mobility management protocol namely Target Tr...

Target Tracking with Unknown Maneuvers Using Adaptive Parameter Estimation in Wireless Sensor Networks

Abstract- Tracking a target which is sensed by a collection of randomly deployed, limited-capacity, and short-ranged sensors is a tricky problem and, yet applicable to the empirical world. In this paper, this challenge has been addressed a by introducing a nested algorithm to track a maneuvering target entering the sensor field. In the proposed nested algorithm, different modules are to fulfill...

Multi-sensor Multi-target Tracking using Out-of-sequence Measurements

1 Proc. Fifth International Conference on Information Fusion (Fusion 2002), Annapolis, MD, U.S.A. Abstract Out-of-sequence measurements (OOSMs) arise in a multi-sensor central-tracking system due to communication network delays and varying preprocessing times at the sensor platforms. During the last few years a great deal of research has focussed attention on the OOSM filtering problem. However...
