چکیده

This paper presents a novel approach to capture the development of dynamic voltage instability caused by the dynamics of different power system devices, such as loads, generators, automatic voltage regulators (AVR), overexcitation limiters (OXL), power system stabilizers (PSS), and onload tap changing (OLTC) transformers using an accurate time-domain analysis. A small power system model is presented which allows one to analyse combinations of these effects, showing how different major forms of long-term and short-term dynamic voltage instability occur. Effects of line tripping, sudden change of load, and fault clearing time on dynamic voltage instability will also be discussed. Finally, advantages of the dynamic analysis over the static analysis will be investigated.

Pull-in behavior analysis of vibrating functionally graded micro-cantilevers under suddenly DC voltage

The present research attempts to explain dynamic pull-in instability of functionally graded micro-cantilevers actuated by step DC voltage while the fringing-field effect is taken into account in the vibrational equation of motion. By employing modern asymptotic approach namely Homotopy Perturbation Method with an auxiliary term, high-order frequency-amplitude relation is obtained, then the infl...

A Short-Term Voltage Stability Index and case studies

1  Abstract—The short-term voltage stability (SVS) problem in large-scale receiving-end power systems is serious due to the increasing load demand, the increasing use of electronically controlled loads and so on. Some serious blackouts are considered to be related to short-term voltage instability. In China, the East China Grid (ECG) is especially vulnerable to short-term voltage instability d...

A context-sensitive dynamic role-based access control model for pervasive computing environments

Resources and services are accessible in pervasive computing environments from anywhere and at any time. Also, due to ever-changing nature of such environments, the identity of users is unknown. However, users must be able to access the required resources based on their contexts. These and other similar complexities necessitate dynamic and context-aware access control models for such environmen...
