The Weighted Finite Automaton Inference Problem
نویسنده
چکیده
Weighted nite automata (WFA) were introduced as a device for generating and transforming pixel images. The inference problem is the determination of a WFA that generates a given image. There are two basic results in this paper. First, a general solution to the inference problem is given which always yields a minimum state WFA for any image. This algorithm uses only addition and inner products of vectors. Second, a connection between the inference problem and basic computational algebraic geometry is established.

BCK-ALGEBRAS AND HYPER BCK-ALGEBRAS INDUCED BY A DETERMINISTIC FINITE AUTOMATON
In this note first we define a BCK‐algebra on the states of a deterministic finite automaton. Then we show that it is a BCK‐algebra with condition (S) and also it is a positive implicative BCK‐algebra. Then we find some quotient BCK‐algebras of it. After that we introduce a hyper BCK‐algebra on the set of all equivalence classes of an equivalence relation on the states of a deterministic finite...
متن کاملFinite Substitutions and Integer Weighted Finite Automata
In this work we present a new chain of undecidability reductions, which begins from the classical halting problem of Turing machines and ends to the undecidability proof of the equivalence problem for nite substitutions on regular languages in Chapter 4. This undecidability result was originally proved by L. Lisovik in 1997. We present a new proof, which is shorter and more elementary than the ...
متن کاملROBUSTNESS OF THE TRIPLE IMPLICATION INFERENCE METHOD BASED ON THE WEIGHTED LOGIC METRIC
This paper focuses on the robustness problem of full implication triple implication inference method for fuzzy reasoning. First of all, based on strong regular implication, the weighted logic metric for measuring distance between two fuzzy sets is proposed. Besides, under this metric, some robustness results of the triple implication method are obtained, which demonstrates that the triple impli...
متن کاملSynchronizing Words for Weighted and Timed Automata
The problem of synchronizing automata is concerned with the existence of a word that sends all states of the automaton to one and the same state. This problem has classically been studied for complete deterministic finite automata, with the existence problem being NLOGSPACE-complete. In this paper we consider synchronizing-word problems for weighted and timed automata. We consider the synchroni...
متن کاملEncoding linear models as weighted finite-state transducers
We present algorithms, implemented as an extension to the OpenFst library, that yield a class of transducers that encode linear models for structured inference tasks like segmentation and tagging. This allows the use of general finite-state operations with such models. For instance, finite-state composition can be used to apply the model to lattice input (or other more general automata) and the...
