Single-Sector Versus Multi-Sector Regulatory Framework: Advantages & Disadvantages

Overview Multi-sector regulation is understood to be the functioning of a single regulatory agency that has responsibility for several different utility sectors such as telecom (ICT), energy, water, and sanitation with similar economic and legal characteristics. We will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of the multi-sector approach, and provide some lessons learned and best practices for infrastructure regulation.
