چکیده

We investigate the construction of diffusions consisting of infinitely numerous Brownian particles moving in R and interacting via logarithmic functions (2D Coulomb potentials). These potentials are really strong and long range in nature. The associated equilibrium states are no longer Gibbs measures. We present general results for the construction of such diffusions and, as applications thereof, construct two typical interacting Brownian motions with logarithmic interaction potentials, namely the Dyson model in infinite dimensions and Ginibre interacting Brownian motions. The former is a particle system in R while the latter is in R. Both models are translation and rotation invariant in space, and as such, are prototypes of dimensions d = 1, 2, respectively. The equilibrium states of the former diffusion model are determinantal random point fields with sine kernels. They appear in the thermodynamical limits of the spectrum of the ensembles of Gaussian random matrices such as GOE, GUE and GSE. The equilibrium states of the latter diffusion model are the thermodynamical limits of the spectrum of the ensemble of complex non-Hermitian Gaussian random matrices known as the Ginibre ensemble.

Di usive clustering of interacting Brownian motions on Z 2

In this paper we investigate the cluster behavior of linearly interacting Brownian motions indexed by Z. We show that (on a logarithmic scale) the block average process converges in path space to Brownian motion. c © 2000 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved. Interacting Brownian motions and the Gross-Pitaevskii formula

We review probabilistic approaches to the Gross-Pitaevskii theory describing interacting dilute systems of particles. The main achievement are large deviations principles for the mean occupation measure of a large system of interacting Brownian motions in a trapping potential. The corresponding rate functions are given as variational problems whose solution provide effective descriptions of the...

Self-diffusion for Brownian Motions with Local Interaction

We derive explicitly the asymptotic law of the tagged particle process in a system of interacting Brownian motions in the presence of a diffusive scaling in non-equilibrium. The interaction is local and interpolates between the totally independent case (non-interacting) and the totally reflecting case and can be viewed as the limiting local version of an interaction through a pair potential as ...

One - Dimensional Brownian Particle Systems with Rank Dependent Drifts

We study interacting systems of linear Brownian motions whose drift vector at every time point is determined by the relative ranks of the coordinate processes at that time. Our main objective has been to study the long range behavior of the spacings between the Brownian motions arranged in increasing order. For finitely many Brownian motions interacting in this manner, we characterize drifts fo...
