The Firecracker Model, a Possible Collective Eeect in High Energy Heavy-ion Collisions
نویسنده
چکیده
We present a possible collective gluon emission eeect based upon a string-like scenario (available if the QCD vacuum works like a color-superconductor type II, i.e. when the color force elds work like vortex-lines) and provide some detailed predictions on the Cronin eeect, as well as on an increased (mini)jet production in the center of phase-space in high energy heavy ion collisions.

Smokerings, a Possible Collective Eeect in a Multigluon State Stemming from High Energy Heavy Ion Collisions
In the early stage of ultrarelativistic heavy ion collisions both the number density and energy density of the gluons are high and a complex and highly interacting system is formed. In this paper we investigate the possibilty that a colour singlet state may be formed through the gluon-gluon (re)interaction in the system. We present our results using the Monte-Carlo simulation and discuss how th...
متن کاملModeling Magnetic Field in Heavy ion Collisions Using Two Different Nuclear Charge Density Distributions
By studying the properties of matter during heavy-ion collisions, a better understanding of the Quark-Gluon plasma is possible. One of the main areas of this study is the calculation of the magnetic field, particularly how the values of conductivity affects this field and how the field strength changes with proper time. In matching the theoretical calculations with results obtained in lab, two diffe...
متن کاملProbing the high density behavior of the nuclear symmetry energy with high energy heavy-ion collisions.
High energy heavy-ion collisions are proposed as a novel means to constrain stringently the high density (HD) behavior of nuclear symmetry energy. Within an isospin-dependent hadronic transport model, it is shown for the first time that the isospin asymmetry of the HD nuclear matter formed in high energy heavy-ion collisions is uniquely determined by the HD behavior of the nuclear symmetry ener...
متن کاملHigh Density Behaviour of Nuclear Symmetry Energy and High Energy Heavy-Ion Collisions
High energy heavy-ion collisions are proposed as a novel means to obtain information about the high density (HD) behaviour of nuclear symmetry energy. Within an isospin-dependent hadronic transport model using phenomenological equations of state (EOS) for dense neutron-rich matter, it is shown that the isospin asymmetry of the HD nuclear matter formed in high energy heavy-ion collisions is dete...
متن کاملOverview of the Heavy Ion Session: Moriond 2006
We review recent theoretical ideas and experimental data in high-energy heavy ion collisions with special emphasis in the hard probes. Traditionally, high-energy physics experiments with colliders attempt to achieve the largest possible energy scales, in well localized spacial regions, for new physics to become observable. A new complementary direction is rapidly emerging in the last years whic...
