چکیده
In this paper, we first give the analytical solution of the general laglead compensator design problem. Then, we show why a series of more than 5 phase-lead/phase-lag compensator cannot be solved analytically using the Galois Theory.

Analytical Solutions for Lag/Lead and General Second Order Compensator Design Problems
This paper presents a simple method for determining analytical solutions to lag/lead cascade and general second order compensator design problems in the frequency domain. Only linear and quadratic equations are used in the proposed approach. Results obtained here can be used to eliminate conventional graphic-based trial-and-error method used in past and contemporary control textbooks, which are...
متن کاملRestoring Motor Functions in Paralyzed Limbs through Intraspinal Multielectrode Microstimulation Using Fuzzy Logic Control and Lag Compensator
In this paper, a control strategy is proposed for control of ankle movement on animals using intraspinal microstimulation (ISMS). The proposed method is based on fuzzy logic control. Fuzzy logic control is a methodology of intelligent control that mimics human decision-making process. This type of control method can be very useful for the complex uncertain systems that their mathematical model ...
متن کاملA Linear Programming Approach for Calculation of All Stabilizing Parameters of Lead-Lag Compensator for Continuous-Time Plants
In this paper, a new method to calculate all stabilizing parameters of Lead-Lag type controller for a given continuous-time plant is proposed. Lead-Lag controllers are used extensively in industry and there is no solution to the problem: can a plant be stabilized by a Lead-Lag controller. Using the earlier results on calculation of all stabilizing PID gains, we provide a computationally constru...
متن کاملAnalytical Analysis of The Dual-phase-lag Heat Transfer Equation in a Finite Slab with Periodic Surface Heat Flux (RESEARCH NOTE)
This work uses the dual-phase-lag (DPL) model of heat conduction to demonstrate the effect of temperature gradient relaxation time on the result of non-Fourier hyperbolic conduction in a finite slab subjected to a periodic thermal disturbance. DPL model combines the wave features of hyperbolic conduction with a diffusion-like feature of the evidence not captured by the hyperbolic case. For the ...
متن کاملPhase Lag and Lead Weighting in Linear-quadratic Control
The use of frequency-weighted performance indices in linear quadratic (LQ) optimal control has been the subject of recent r e ~ e a c h ' ~ . The primary motivation for frequency-weighting is the possibility of enhancing the robustness of LQ designs in critical frequency bands. A preliminary study3 of the case where high frequencies in the control are weighted more heavily has shown that the op...
