The direct Class IV restoration.
نویسنده
چکیده
72 oralhealth April 2007 Patient demand for aesthetic dentistry with minimally invasive procedures has resulted in the extensive use of freehand bonding of composite resin to anterior teeth.1 Preservation of remaining tooth structure and using as much enamel to bond to, has made the procedure very predictable. In order to achieve maximum esthetics, the dentist must be able to use multiple layers of composite, along with opaquers and tints. The stratification and proper placement of opaquers and tints will help replicate the polychromatic characteristics of the natural dentition.

Fracture Resistance and Failure Mode of Endodontically Treated Premolars Restored with Different Adhesive Restorations
Introduction: The restoration of endodontically treated teeth is a topic that has been studied extensively but it is still a challenge for dental practitioners. The aim of this study was to evaluate fracture resistance, fracture patterns and fracture location of endodontically treated human maxillary premolars restored with direct and indirect composite resin and ceramic restoration. Methods: E...

UNLABELLED Recent developments in adhesive technologies, the design of composite resin materials, and contemporary placement techniques have revolutionized the delivery of minimally invasive direct restorations. The improved handling characteristics available from low-viscosity flowable systems, packable composites, and sculptable small-particle hybrid composites have expanded today's treatment...
متن کاملThe Prevalence of Restoration Overhang in Patients Referred to the Dental Clinic of Guilan University of Medical Sciences
Introdouction: Overhang refers to the extension of restoration material from the cavity. It has an important role in decay, plaque accumulation and periodontal disease, so the aim of this study is determining the frequency of restoration overhang in patients in Anzali, Guilan. Materials and methods: This descriptive cross-sectional study was completed using 293 patients who visited fo...
متن کاملOptimizing the esthetics of Class IV restorations with composite resins.
Direct bonding is the most commonly-used treatment for the conservative esthetic restoration of anterior teeth. Class IV defects deserve special attention because of their high incidence in anterior teeth. One of the major challenges for the practitioner treating defects in this category is disguising the fracture line, through the correct use of masking and restorative resins, to make the rest...
متن کاملUse of temporary filling material for index fabrication in Class IV resin composite restoration
When a patient with a fractured anterior tooth visits the clinic, clinician has to restore the tooth esthetically and quickly. For esthetic resin restoration, clinician can use 'Natural Layering technique' and an index for palatal wall may be needed. In this case report, we introduce pre-restoration index technique on a Class IV defect, in which a temporary filling material is used for easy res...
متن کاملEnhanced resilience and esthetics in a Class IV restoration.
The purpose of this article is to give the reader a better understanding of the complex restorative challenge in achieving true harmonization of the primary parameters in esthetics (i.e., color, shape, and texture) represented by the replacement of a single anterior tooth. The case presented demonstrates the restoration of a Class IV fracture taking esthetic consideration of the anatomic variat...
