Semantic Web Service Offer Discovery with Lightweight Semantic Descriptions?

چکیده
Semantic Web Services (SWS) are a research effort aimed at automation of the usage of Web services, a necessary component for the Semantic Web. Offer discovery is an important part of the general discovery process of finding the most suitable services for a user’s goal. Nevertheless, the task of offer discovery has been largely ignored by Semantic Web Services frameworks. In this paper, we present a solution for offer discovery that uses WSMO-Lite, the new lightweight semantic Web service annotation framework.

Service-oriented computing has brought special attention to service description, especially in connection with semantic technologies. The expected proliferation of publicly accessible services can benefit greatly from tool support and automation, both ofwhich are the focus of SemanticWebService (SWS) frameworks that especially address service discovery, composition and execution. As the first S...

Semantic Web Services are a research effort to automate the usage of Web services, a necessary component for the Semantic Web. Traditionally, Web service discovery depends on detailed formal semantic descriptions of available services. Since a complete detailed service description is not always feasible, the client software cannot select the best service offer for a given user goal only by usin...

Semantic Web Services (SWS) offer the possibility of adapting services to the context of the service requesters, where relevant services can be quickly discovered and orchestrated to compose situated applications. Most existing work has focused on formal service descriptions constructed from expertly designed ontologies. However, constant changes in pervasive learning domain demand technically ...

متن کاملImproving semantic Web services discovery and ranking: A lightweight, integrated approach
Semantic Web services frameworks provide the means to automatically discover, rank, compose and invoke services according to user requirements and preferences. However, current preference models offer limited expressiveness and they are tightly coupled with underlying discovery and ranking mechanisms. Furthermore, these mechanisms present performance, interoperability and integration issues tha...
