CCD Camera Based Optical Tracking for Human Computer Interaction
نویسنده
چکیده
We are investigating the application of CCD camera based optical beacon tracking systems in d interactive environments An optical tracking system has been developed which serves as a testbed for tracking algorithms and accuracy investigations The d interactive environment fea tures tracking of the observer s viewpoints stereo scopic visualization and direct d pointing The focus is set on high accuracy of both tracking and stereo scopic visualization Algorithms which can track optical beacons with sub pixel resolution at low noise help to reduce hardware expenditure in terms of camera resolution and computing power Theoretical considerations about resolution are made and practical experience is presented Furthermore user studies are performed to test the created interface environment with regard to immersive interfaces and direct interaction in space

The perceptibility curve test applied to CCD and two methods of digitization of dental film-based radiographs
Objectives: Several methods of image acquisition are accessible in dentistry. There is no overall acceptable method for image digitization so all different types of images can be comparable. The objective of this study was to compare the diagnostic accuracy of different methods of image digitization. Methods: This accuracy diagnostic test study used perceptibility curve test which first intr...
متن کاملCapRe: a Gaze Tracking System in Man-machine Interaction
| We present a real-time camerabased system designed for gaze tracking focused on human-computer communication. We aim to equip computer systems with a tool which can provide visual information about the user. This tool must satisfy interaction constraints and be not intrusive. Therefore we use a CCD camera, placed between the keyboard and the screen. The system detects the user presence, locat...
متن کاملDesigning and developing an in-house CCD based optical CT scanner for gel dosimetry
Introduction: Measurement of the complex 3D radiation dose distribution created with advanced radiotherapy techniques such as IMRT and SRS became very important. Polymer gel dosimetry (PGD) is proposed method to recording this dose distribution. MRI, X-ray CT, ultrasound, spectrophotometry and optical CT scanners can be used for readout of Polymer gel dosimeters. Although MRI i...
متن کاملRobot Motion Vision Pait I: Theory
A direct method called fixation is introduced for solving the general motion vision problem, arbitrary motion relative to an arbitrary environment. This method results in a linear constraint equation which explicitly expresses the rotational velocity in terms of the translational velocity. The combination of this constraint equation with the Brightness-Change Constraint Equation solves the gene...
متن کاملPedestrians Tracking in a Camera Network
With the increase of the number of cameras installed across a video surveillance network, the ability of security staffs to attentively scan all the video feeds actually decreases. Therefore, the need for an intelligent system that operates as a tracking system is vital for security personnel to do their jobs well. Tracking people as they move through a camera network with non-overlapping field...
