The Virtual Test Bed for PEBB Based Systems

چکیده

This paper presents the architecture as well as example applications of the Virtual Test Bed (VTB). The VTB is a simulation environment being developed as a virtual prototyping tool for modern electric power distribution systems, with emphasis on power electronics. The VTB is built around an efficient and flexible network solver, an advanced visualization system, a model library, and several model construction tools integrated in a distributed multitasking environment. Automated model translators allow utilization of models written in legacy languages such as SPICE and ACSL. An integrated EM field solver allows construction of advanced physics based models of power electronic comp onents, including parasitic effects and estimates of electromagnetic interference.
