چکیده
The model comprises three hierarchical levels: individual, population, and environment. Each individual is characterized by five state variables: (1) identity number; three heritable and evolving traits corresponding to (2) the probability h (0 ≤ ) to adopt the aggressive hawk behavior in the Hawk-Dove game; (3) in the scenario with binary physiological h ≤ 1 traits, the probability m ( ) to adopt the high metabolic rate, and in the scenario with continuous physiological 0 ≤ m ≤ 1 traits, the metabolic rate m ( ); (4) the probability b ( ) to adopt tactic 1 in the foraging context; and (5) 0 ≤ m ≤ 1 0 ≤ b ≤ 1 the fitness payoff that an individual accumulated in the games. The population is composed of all individuals and is characterized by its size. All simulations are based on populations with 5,000 individuals. The highest hierarchical level in the model corresponds to the environment individuals face in the hawk-dove game and the foraging context. The environment in the hawk-dove game is characterized by the fitness value of the contested resource V and the fitness cost of losing a hawk-hawk interaction D; the environment in the foraging context is characterized by w1 and w2, corresponding to the intrinsic fitness payoffs associated with tactics 1 and 2, respectively.

On the evolution of personalities via frequency-dependent selection.
Personality differences can be found in a wide range of species across the animal kingdom, but why natural selection gave rise to such differences remains an open question. Frequency-dependent selection is a potent mechanism explaining variation; it does not explain, however, the other two key features associated with personalities, consistency and correlations. Using the hawk-dove game and a f...
متن کاملSynthesis oF Fe-TiC Hard Coating From Ilmenite via Laser Cladding
The aim of this work was to synthesize TiC reinforced coating on carbon steel via reduction of ilmenite powder. A mixture of ilmenite and graphite was pre-placed on AISI 1020 steel surface. The effect of the addition of excess graphite amounts on the progress of synthesis of carbide particles was studied. The evolution of phases in different coatings was analysed via X-ray diffraction and scann...
متن کاملDistributed multi-agent Load Frequency Control for a Large-scale Power System Optimized by Grey Wolf Optimizer
This paper aims to design an optimal distributed multi-agent controller for load frequency control and optimal power flow purposes. The controller parameters are optimized using Grey Wolf Optimization (GWO) algorithm. The designed optimal distributed controller is employed for load frequency control in the IEEE 30-bus test system with six generators. The controller of each generator is consider...

Background and Objective: TMC1 gene mutations are known as the most common causes of autosomal recessive non-syndromic hearing loss (ARNSHL) in different populations. According to large size of the TMC1 gene and the large number of identified mutations in this gene, application of polymorphic markers is suggested for carrier detection and prenatal diagnosis in families. In this study, informati...
متن کاملاثر ویتامین C بر التهاب القا شده توسط فرمالین در موش صحرایی
Background and Objective: Vitamin C (Vit.C) or ascorbic acid is an essential micronutrient which has neuroprotective effects and can decrease Cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) activity and then prostaglandins synthesis. Therefore, it is hypothesized that Vit. C is able to reduce the inflammatory edema. In order to verify this hypothesis, a model of inflammatory paw edema was induced by formalin in rats....
