Analysis and Design for Embedded Real-Time Telecommunications Software

Demands for embedded real-time software in large telecommunication systems are becoming higher and higher now. Therefore, it is crucial in such systems that the software must be designed with good architectures. In order to build such architectures, it is necessary to apply appropriate real-time analysis and design methods as well as specify the system's special requirements. In this paper, we describe some typical real-time concepts defined in Real Time Unified Modeling Language (UML),then show how to approach those concepts in analyzing and designing a Telecom system and finally, illustrate some simple examples.
