PreciseMS light-quark masses from lattice QCD in the regularization invariant symmetric momentum-subtraction scheme

چکیده
We compute the conversion factors needed to obtain theMS and renormalization-group-invariant (RGI) up, down, and strange quark masses at next-to-next-to-leading order from the corresponding parameters renormalized in the recently proposed RI/SMOM and RI=SMOM renormalization schemes. This is important for obtaining the MS masses with the best possible precision from numerical lattice QCD simulations, because the customary RIð0Þ=MOM scheme is afflicted with large irreducible uncertainties both on the lattice and in perturbation theory. We find that the smallness of the known one-loop matching coefficients is accompanied by even smaller two-loop contributions. From a study of residual scale dependences, we estimate the resulting perturbative uncertainty on the light-quark masses to be about 2% in the RI/SMOM scheme and about 3% in the RI=SMOM scheme. Our conversion factors are given in fully analytic form, for general covariant gauge and renormalization point. We provide expressions for the associated anomalous dimensions.

متن کاملRenormalization and Running of Quark Mass and Field in the Regularization Invariant and MS Schemes at Three and Four Loops
We derive explicit transformation formulae relating the renormalized quark mass and field as defined in the MS-scheme with the corresponding quantities defined in any other scheme. By analytically computing the three-loop quark propagator in the high-energy limit (that is keeping only massless terms and terms of first order in the quark mass) we find the NNNLO conversion factors transforming th...
متن کاملGlue Spin and Helicity in the Proton from Lattice QCD.
We report the first lattice QCD calculation of the glue spin in the nucleon. The lattice calculation is carried out with valence overlap fermions on 2+1 flavor domain-wall fermion gauge configurations on four lattice spacings and four volumes including an ensemble with physical values for the quark masses. The glue spin S_{G} in the Coulomb gauge in the modified minimal subtraction (MS[over ¯])...
متن کاملQCD Sum-Rule Bounds on the Light Quark Masses
QCD sum-rules are related to an integral of a hadronic spectral function, and hence must satisfy integral inequalities which follow from positivity of the spectral function. Development of these Hölder inequalities and their application to the Laplace sum-rule for pions lead to a lower bound on the average of the non-strange 2GeV light-quark masses in the MS scheme. The light quark masses are f...
متن کاملExact Matching Condition for Matrix Elements in Lattice and Ms Schemes
The exact matching condition is given for hadron matrix elements calculated in any two different schemes, in particular, in the lattice and dimensional regularization, (modified) minimal subtraction MS schemes. The result provides insight into and permits to go beyond Lepage and Mackenzie’s mean field theory of removing tadpole contributions in lattice operators. Typeset using REVTEX This work ...
