On Π] Classes and their Ranked Points

چکیده
We answer a question of Cenzer and Smith by constructing a nonzero degree each of whose members is a rank one point of a Π? class. The technique of proof is a rather unusual full approximation argument. This method would seem to have other applications.

Mathematical model creation for Reducing damages in basketball players
Introduction: Hand and wrist stability are critical for optimal upper extremity function. Instability occurs when injury or a pathological condition alters balance, typically in the basketball players and handball players. Injury also can occur whenever the ligaments are subjected to tensile forces that exceed their physiological capacities. For example, thumb is stable in ext...
متن کاملA theoretical study on halogen-π interactions: X-C2-Y…C8H8 complexes
M06-2X functional was employed to study halogen-π interactions in X-C2-Y…C8H8 complexes (X, Y=H, F, Cl, and Br). In fact, interactions of mono- or di-halogenated acetylenes and planar cyclooctatetraene as an anti-aromatic π system were considered. Relationship between binding energies of the complexes and charge transfer effects was investigated. Also, electronic charge density values were calc...
متن کاملEstimation of Variance of Normal Distribution using Ranked Set Sampling
Introduction In some biological, environmental or ecological studies, there are situations in which obtaining exact measurements of sample units are much harder than ranking them in a set of small size without referring to their precise values. In these situations, ranked set sampling (RSS), proposed by McIntyre (1952), can be regarded as an alternative to the usual simple random sampling ...
متن کاملOvoids and Translation Ovals
An ooid in a 3-dimensional projective geometry PG(3, q) over the field GF(q), where q is a prime power, is a set of q#1 points no three of which are collinear. Because of their connections with other combinatorial structures ovoids are of interest to mathematicians in a variety of fields ; for from an ovoid one can construct an inversive plane [3], a generalised quadrangle [11], and if q is e...
متن کاملPlanes, Semibiplanes and Related Complexes
We observe a connection between the problem of lifting semibiplanes to projective planes, and the 1-cohomology of a related cell complex. Examples are provided using the translation planes of order 16. 1. Lifting ‘quotients’ of planes. Given a projective plane Π with an automorphism group G ≤ AutΠ, the G-orbits on the points and lines of Π form a tactical decomposition of Π, and the quotient st...
