چکیده

The traditional approach to improving the lethality of a missile has been to concentrate efforts in the guidance and control systems to improve accuracy and agility. In this paper, we consider how optimizing the endgame, the final few milliseconds before detonation, can yield improvements in overall lethality. As there is likely to be uncertainty in both the target parameters and missile coordinates, a multiobjective problem is developed so that the robustness of a solution can be traded against its efficacy. The ability to quickly determine promising endgames is likely to be of benefit when exploiting modern control schemes, such as MPC, that offer improved accuracy and agility. Copyright © 2005 IFAC

Benson's algorithm for nonconvex multiobjective problems via nonsmooth Wolfe duality

‎In this paper‎, ‎we propose an algorithm to obtain an approximation set of the (weakly) nondominated points of nonsmooth multiobjective optimization problems with equality and inequality constraints‎. ‎We use an extension of the Wolfe duality to construct the separating hyperplane in Benson's outer algorithm for multiobjective programming problems with subdifferentiable functions‎. ‎We also fo...

Xergy analysis and multiobjective optimization of a biomass gasification-based multigeneration system

Biomass gasification is the process of converting biomass into a combustible gas suitable for use in boilers, engines, and turbines to produce combined cooling, heat, and power. This paper presents a detailed model of a biomass gasification system and designs a multigeneration energy system that uses the biomass gasification process for generating combined cooling, heat, and electricity. Energy...

ML-MOEA/SOM: A Manifold-Learning-Based Multiobjective Evolutionary Algorithm Via Self-Organizing Maps

Under mild conditions, it can be induced from the Karush–Kuhn–Tucker condition that the Pareto set, in the decision space, of a continuous Multiobjective Optimization Problems(MOPs) is a piecewise continuous ( 1) m D   manifold(where m is the number of objectives). One hand, the traditional Multiobjective Optimization Algorithms(EMOAs) cannot utilize this regularity property; on the other han...

Probabilistic analysis of Linear Mode vs Geiger Mode APD FPAs for advanced LADAR enabled interceptors

To meet evolving ballistic missile threats, advanced seekers will include a multi-modal imaging capability in which a passive singleor multi-band infrared focal plane array (FPA) shares a common aperture with an active laser radar (LADAR) receiver – likely, a photon-counting LADAR receiver that can resolve photon times of arrival with subnanosecond resolution. The overall success of such a syst...
