On the Ergodic Capacity of Underlay Cognitive Dual-Hop AF Relayed Systems Under Non-Identical Generalized-K Fading Channels
نویسنده
چکیده
The ergodic capacity of underlay cognitive (secondary) dual-hop relaying systems is analytically investigated. Specifically, the amplify-and-forward transmission protocol is considered, while the received signals undergo multipath fading and shadowing with non-identical statistics. To efficiently describe this composite type of fading, the well-known generalized-K fading model is used. New analytical expressions and quite accurate closed-form approximations regarding the ergodic capacity of the end-toend communication are obtained, in terms of finite sum series of the Meijer’s-G function. The analytical results are verified with the aid of computer simulations, while useful insights are revealed. Index Terms Amplify-and-forward (AF), cognitive systems, ergodic capacity, generalized fading channels, performance analysis.

Capacity Bounds for AF Dual-hop Relaying in G Fading Channels
We investigate the ergodic capacity of amplify-andforward (AF) dual-hop relaying systems in composite Nakagamim/Inverse-Gaussian fading channels. This type of fading, which is known in the literature as G fading, has recently attracted increasing research interest thanks to its ability to better approximate the Nakagami-m/lognormal model compared to the Nakagami-m/gamma model. We study both fix...
متن کاملErgodic Capacity of Dual-hop Semi-blind AF Relaying over Composite Fading Channels using Mixture Gamma Distribution
Since the performance metrics of digital communication systems over composite multipath/ lognormal fading channels is intractable, a mixture gamma (MG) fading model is used to approximate Nakagami-lognormal (NL) fading model. By using MG fading model, the ergodic capacity of dualhop semi-blind amplify-and-forward relaying systems is investigated over independent non-identical composite NL fadin...
متن کاملPerformance Analysis of Dual-Hop Systems with Decode-and-Forward Relays over Generalized Fading Channels
Dual-hop transmission systems employing decodeand-forward relay are studied in this paper. The examination has been done for independent, but not necessarily identical Extended Generalized-K fading channels. New, exact, closedform expressions are derived for the outage probability, the nth moments of the end-to-end signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), and the ergodic capacity. Moreover, the average sym...

In this paper, ergodic channel capacity is investigated for underlay spectrum sharing system under maxi...
متن کاملPerformance analysis of fixed-gain AF dual-hop relaying systems over Nakagami-m fading channels in the presence of interference
This article presents an analytical investigation on the performance of interference-limited fixed-gain amplify-andforward dual-hop relaying systems over Nakagami-m fading channels. Assuming the fading parameter m of the two hop channels being integer, we derive a closed-form expression of the cumulative distribution function of a new type of random variables involving a number of independent g...
