چکیده

In its most general form, the problem of inferring the intentions of a mobile user from his or her spatial behavior is equivalent to the plan recognition problem which is known to be intractable. Tractable special cases of the problem are therefore of great practical interest. Using formal grammars, intention recognition problems can be stated as parsing problems in a way that makes the connection between expressiveness and complexity explicit. We argue that context free grammars are not sufficiently expressive to handle important use cases. Furthermore, we identify three types of constraints on the grammar’s productions that may arise in spatial intention recognition: rule-at-location constraints, rule-rule-constraints, and complex rule-location-constraints. Finally we show that Tree Adjoining Grammars can be used to handle rule-ruleconstraints.

SCTAG: A Mildly Context-Sensitive Formalism for Modeling Complex Intentions in Spatially Structured Environments

The way we represent intentions, behaviors, and the spatial context, is crucial for any approach to mobile intention recognition. Formal grammars are cognitively comprehensible and make expressiveness properties explicit. By adding spatial domain knowledge to a grammar we can reduce parsing ambiguities. We argue that there are a number of mobile intention recognition problems which require the ...

Spatially Constrained Grammars for Mobile Intention Recognition

Mobile intention recognition is the problem of inferring a mobile agent’s intentions from her spatio-temporal behavior. The intentions an agent can have in a specific situation depend on the spatial context, and on the spatially contextualized behavior history. We introduce two spatially constrained grammars that allow for modeling of complex constraints between space and intentions, one based ...

A Developed Model for Purchase Intention of Foreign Food Products: An Empirical Study in the Iranian Context

The aim of this study is to develop a conceptual model for purchase intention of foreign food products in the Iranian context. Based on an in-depth review of past literature, the sub-factors related to customer’s purchase intention were extracted. Then, exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis were applied to identify and confirm the factors affecting purchase intention of f...

Context- but not familiarity-dependent forms of object recognition are impaired following excitotoxic hippocampal lesions in rats.

Dual-process models of recognition memory in animals propose that recognition memory is supported by two independent processes that reflect the operation of distinct brain structures: a familiarity process that operates independently of the hippocampus and a context-dependent (episodic) memory process that is dependent on the hippocampus. A novel variant of an object recognition procedure was u...
