Simultaneous Reduction of Four Wave Mixing and Stimulated Raman Scattering using Duobinary Modulation format in DWDM Fiber Optic Communication System
نویسندگان
چکیده
Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) enables the utilization of a significant portion of the available fiber bandwidth by allowing many independent signals to be transmitted simultaneously on one fiber, with each signal located at a different wavelength. In this paper, the two major non-linear effects such as FWM and SRS in transmission fiber must be simultaneously eliminated by Duobinary Modulation to achieve successful communication. The results taken for 4, 8, 16, 32 and 64 channels are carried out by using OPTSIM software.

Performance Analysis of Dwdm Based Fiber Optic Communication with Different Modulation Schemes and Dispersion Compensation Fiber
Dense Wavelength Division multiplexing (DWDM) is a novel technology that can improve the channel capacity and meet growing demands for bandwidth of the optical fiber communication system. This technology utilizes a composite optical signal carrying multiple information streams. Each information streams transmitted on a distinct optical wavelength onto a single fiber. The performance of DWDM is ...

In this paper, the four wave mixing effect on sixteen channel wavelength divison multiplexing has been compared for different modulation formats at various values of dispersion, core effective area, channel spacing. The performance of system has been evaluated in terms of four wave mixing power, BER and Qfactor. This paper simulates that with increase in the channel spacing, core effective area of...
متن کاملThe Reduction of FWM effects using Duobinary Modulation in a Two-Channel D-WDM System
This papers show that the adoption of a duo binary Modulation scheme reduces the impact of FWM in a DWDM system. The levels of the FWM products are reduced by around 10 dB which will offer a significant performance benefit in digital systems. We have taken into consideration great demand for high data rate & have designed optical fiber system for 40 Gbps. Keywords-dispersion shifted fiber (DSF)...
