Timed Orchestration for Component-based Systems

چکیده

Systems are constructed from component libraries where each of them is commonly parametric for realizing specific properties. Apart from component-level properties, one also need to ensure emerging properties that only arise when gluing components into systems. In this paper, we present a methodology to automatically control a component-based system to achieve desired invariance (safety) and interaction-level properties via the implicit use of timed orchestration. The methodology first performs a unified reduction from interaction-level properties to safety properties via the composition of deterministic progress monitors. Then it creates a parametric invariant as a template under synthesis by statically analyzing underlying components and locking interactions. The third step is the reduction into ∃∀ SMT constraint solving problems.
