چکیده

The use of mathematical morphology in lowand mid-level image processing and computer vision applications has allowed the development of a class of techniques for analyzing shape information in color images. These techniques have shown to be useful in image enhancement, segmentation, and analysis. In this paper, we develop and test scalable parallel algorithms necessary to implement a class of morphological filters on a parallel computer, specifically, the MasPar MP-1. We examine the issues relative to the parallel implementation of the algorithms and show that real-time enhancement of high resolution color images is possible.

Unsupervised colour image segmentation using dual-tree complex wavelet transform

In this paper we present an effective unsupervised colour image segmentation algorithm which uses multiscale edge information and spatial colour content. The multiscale edge information is extracted using the dual-tree complex wavelet transform. Binary morphological operators are applied to the edge information to detect seed regions which are large enough to exclude boundaryonly regions. The s...

A FEM Multiscale Homogenization Procedure using Nanoindentation for High Performance Concrete

This paper aims to develop a numerical multiscale homogenization method for prediction of elasto-viscoplastic properties of a high performance concrete (HPC). The homogenization procedure is separated into two-levels according to the microstructure of the HPC: the mortar or matrix level and the concrete level. The elasto-viscoplastic behavior of individual microstructural phases of the matrix a...

Performance Analysis of Segmentation of Hyperspectral Images Based on Color Image Segmentation

Image segmentation is a fundamental approach in the field of image processing and based on user’s application .This paper propose an original and simple segmentation strategy based on the EM approach that resolves many informatics problems about hyperspectral images which are observed by airborne sensors. In a first step, to simplify the input color textured image into a color image without tex...

Mathematical Morphology for Color Images: An Image-Dependent Approach

This paper proposes one possibility to generalize the morphological operations particularly, dilation, erosion, opening, and closing to color images. First, properties of a desirable generalization are stated and a brief review is done on former approaches. Then, the method is explained, which is based on a total ordering of the colors in an image induced by its color histogram; this is valid f...

PAIRED ANISOTROPIC DISTRIBUTION FOR IMAGE SELECTIVE SMOOTHING
