چکیده

This paper formally defines a web component model enabling end-user programmers to bui ld component-based r ich internet applications (RIAs) that are tailored to meet their particular needs. I t is the product of a series of previously published papers. The formal definit ion in description logic verifies that the model is consistent and subsumes currently existing models. We demonstrate experimentally that i t is more effective than the

An Evaluation of a Cooperative Process Support Environment

This paper describes an evaluation of process modelling where the same distributed conference organizing process was modelled in three different process centred environments (PCEs) Endeavors, ProcessWeb, and our own CAGIS PCE. Endeavors is an activity based, flexible workflow system, ProcessWeb is a rolebased workflow system with a web-interface, whereas the CAGIS PCE combines an activity based...

A User Interface for the User-Centred Knowledge Model, t-UCK

This paper presents a user interface to the User-Centred Knowledge Model (t-UCK). T-UCK is a knowledge modelling tool for designing knowledge-intensive systems. The model centres round the various users, i.e., both the design users and the end users, and facilitates the use of a conceptual model for handling different types of knowledge, the reasoning strategy and other functionality. For the d...

Enabling Project-Centred Learning through Flexible Processes: the COOPER Experience

This paper proposes a model-driven, extensible platform, delivered on the Web, which is able to support long-distance collaboration of students’ teams working on complex projects. The main merit of this proposal is the ability to support end-users to self-organize processes, by using a simple Web interface and a library of activities that cover most of the needs arising in collaborative environ...

Virtual City Maker And Virtual Navigator: A Modelling And Visualisation Solution For Mobile 3D Virtual Cities

This paper presents a complete procedural 3D modelling solution for mobile devices, called Virtual City Maker, based on scripting algorithms allowing for both the automatic and also semi-automatic creation of photorealistic quality virtual urban content. The input data used include the combination of aerial images, GIS data, 2D ground maps and terrestrial photographs grouped with a user-friendl...
