چکیده

So far, we have used Integer Programs and their relaxation to Linear Programs, in order to obtain approximation algorithms for NP Complete problems. We will demonstrate how we can use Quadratic Integer Programs (QIP) for the same purpose, producing approximation algorithms for NP Complete problems, with better bounds than the previously devised algorithms. The general form of a QIP is the following:

Analogue of Lebesgue-Radon-Nikodym Theorem with respect to p-adic q-Measure on Zp

and Applied Analysis 3 By 2.2 , we get μf,−q ( a pZp ) 2 q 2 qp −qa ∫ Zp f ( a px ) dμ−qpn x . 2.3 Therefore, by 2.3 , we obtain the following theorem. Theorem 2.1. For f, g ∈ C Zp , one has μαf βg,−q αμf,−q βμg,−q, 2.4 where α, β are constants. From 2.2 and 2.4 , we note that ∣μf,−q ( a pZp )∣∣ ≤ M‖f‖∞, 2.5 where ‖f‖∞ supx∈Zp |f x | and M is some positive constant. Now, we recall the definitio...

Steady State Analysis of QP-MIP for Location Management

The paging signaling overhead is occurred in Paging extensions for Mobile IP(P-MIP) which was proposed to reduce registration signaling overhead of Mobile IP(MIP). And quick paging IP scheme using residence pattern of mobile user(QP-MIP) is proposed to overcome the above inefficiency. To the exact analysis of QP-MIP and P-MIP, the Mobile Node(MN) state transition behavior is modeled and the ste...

On the Value Set of Fermat Quotients

We also define qp(kp) = 0, k ∈ Z. Fermat quotients appear and play a major role in various questions of computational and algebraic number theory and thus their distribution modulo p has been studied in a number of works; see, for example, [1, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 13, 15, 16, 17, 18] and the references therein. In particular, the image set Ip(U) = {qp(u) : 1 ≤ u ≤ U} has been investigated in ...

Heat-flow Monotonicity Related to the Hausdorff–young Inequality

It is known that if q is an even integer then the L(R) norm of the Fourier transform of a superposition of translates of a fixed gaussian is monotone increasing as their centres “simultaneously slide” to the origin. We provide explicit examples to show that this monotonicity property fails dramatically if q > 2 is not an even integer. These results are equivalent, upon rescaling, to similar sta...

A Definable -adic Analogue of Kirszbraun’s Theorem on Extensions of Lipschitz Maps

A direct application of Zorn’s lemma gives that every Lipschitz map f : X ⊂ Qp → Qp has an extension to a Lipschitz map f̃ : Qp → Qp . This is analogous to, but easier than, Kirszbraun’s theorem about the existence of Lipschitz extensions of Lipschitz maps S ⊂ Rn → R`. Recently, Fischer and Aschenbrenner obtained a definable version of Kirszbraun’s theorem. In this paper, we prove in the p-adic ...
