چکیده

A discussion is given of the quantisation of a physical system with finite degrees of freedom subject to a Hamiltonian constraint by treating time as a constrained classical variable interacting with an unconstrained quantum state. This leads to a quantisation scheme that yields a Schrödinger-type equation which is in general nonlinear in evolution. Nevertheless it is compatible with the probabilistic interpretation of quantum mechanics and in particular the construction of a Hilbert space with a Euclidean norm is possible. The new scheme is applied to the quantisation of a Friedmann universe with a massive scalar field whose dynamical behaviour is investigated numerically. PACS numbers: 04.60.Ds, 04.60.Kz

The present paper seeks to construct a quantum theory of the cosmological constant in which its presently observed very small value emerges naturally. Large scale cosmological observations over the past decade (see references cited in [1], and [2-4]) have provided data which are in accord with the simplest cosmological model LCDM (Λ + Cold Dark Matter) [4-7]. This model is governed by the homog...

We describe the universe as a local, inhomogeneous spherical bubble embedded in a flat matter dominated FLRW universe. Generalized exact Friedmann equations describe the expansion of the universe and an early universe inflationary de Sitter solution is obtained. A non-perturbative expression for the deceleration parameter q is derived that can possibly describe the acceleration of the universe ...

Placing limits on the spin-torsion fluctuation from the stability of Friedmann solution and COBE data

The gravitational stability of Friedmann metric with respect to homogeneous and isotropic perturbations in Einstein-Cartan cosmology is used together with the COBE data to place a limit on the spintorsion primordial density fluctuation.Cosmological perturbations in Bianchi type III models are shown to have no contributions from torsion at the early stages of the Universe.
