چکیده

The proof of the non-renormalization theorem for the gauge anomaly of four-dimensional theories is extended to the case of models with a vanishing one-loop gauge beta function. Supported in part by the Swiss National Science Foundation.

Anomalies in Quantum Field Theory Properties and Characterization

We consider the Adler-Bardeen anomaly of the U (1) axial current in abelian and non-abelian gauge theories and present its algebraic characterization as well as an explicit evaluation proving regularization scheme independence of the anomaly. By extending the gauge coupling to an external space-time dependent field we get a unique definition for the quantum corrections of the topological term. ...

Non-renormalization theorems in softly broken SQED and the soft β-functions

The renormalization of softly broken SQED is related to the one of supersymmetric QED by using the construction with a local gauge supercoupling and by taking into account softly broken anomalous axial U(1) symmetry. From this extended model one obtains the non-renormalization theorems of SQED and the counterterms of the soft breaking parameters as functions of the supersymmetric counterterms. ...

Contractive gauge functions in strongly orthogonal metric spaces

Existence of fixed point in orthogonal metric spaces has been initiated recently by Eshaghi and et al. [On orthogonal sets and Banach fixed Point theorem, Fixed Point Theory, in press]. In this paper, we introduce the notion of the strongly orthogonal sets and prove a genuine generalization of Banach' fixed point theorem and Walter's theorem. Also, we give an example showing that our main theor...

Nonperturbative Adler-Bardeen Theorem

1.1 Anomalies in QFT. The chiral anomaly appears as a quantum correction to the conservation of the axial current for massless fermions. A crucial property is the anomaly nonrenormalization, which says that the chiral anomaly is given exactly by its lower order contribution. This property was proved first for QED4 in [AB] in the well known Adler-Bardeen Theorem: it was shown that there is a dra...
