With the aid of a new research facility, transient pressures have been measured on the upper surface of a narrow-delta wing when it entered a sharp-edged gust normal to the wing plane. This paper describes the facility and presents an analysis of the results of six runs through the gust by one model. It is shown that the pressure distribution on any particular cross-section of the wing remains unaffected until that section enters the gust, and then begins immediately to change. The-pressure change due to the gust develops at each section at a rate which is a function of the local span.
