El POLARIZED PHOTON ASYMMETRIES IN K + PHOTOPRODUCTION AT 16 GeV ”

Using a 16 GeV linearly polarized photon beam, we have measured asymmetries in the process yN K+(A + 2;) from hydrogen and deuterium, for squared four momentum transfers, t, between 0.01 and 0.8 (G~V/C)~. The data show that for -t 2 0.1 (G~V/C)~, the cross sections for w K+A, m -KK+Co, and -yn --L K+Xare strongly dominated by natural parity exchange, as is the case in single pion photoproduc tion. ’ (Submitted to Phys.
