چکیده

A microporous hypercrosslinked polymer resin was synthesized and shown to adsorb 3.04 wt.% hydrogen at 77 K and 15 bar; this represents the highest level of hydrogen adsorption yet observed for an organic polymer.

Adsorption of phenolic compounds from aqueous solutions by aminated hypercrosslinked polymers.

Two novel polymers (NJ-1 and NJ-2) were synthesized by chemically modified a hypercrosslinked polymer NJ-0 with dimethylamine and trimethylamine, respectively. The comparison of the adsorption properties of the three polymers toward phenol, resorcin and phloroglucin was made. The study focused on the static equilibrium adsorption behaviors and the adsorption thermodynamics. Freundlich equation ...

Template-mediated Synthesis of Hollow Microporous Organic Nanorods with Tunable Aspect Ratio

Hollow microporous organic nanorods (HMORs) with hypercrosslinked polymer (HCPs) shells were synthesized through emulsion polymerization followed by hypercrosslinking. The HMORs have tunable aspect ratios, high BET surface areas and monodispersed morphologies, showing good performance in gas adsorpion.

Hypercrosslinked porous polyporphyrin by metal-free protocol: characterization, uptake performance, and heterogeneous catalysis

Through metal-free protocol, hypercrosslinked porous polyporphyrin with permanent porosity was obatined via the Friedel-Crafts alkylation of tetracarbazolylporphyrin using formaldehyde dimethyl acetal as an external cross-linker. Its chemical structure and porosity was well characterized and confirmed. The BET specific surface area value of HCP-TCPP is 1050 m2 g-1 and related dominant pore size...

Characterisation of porous hydrogen storage materials: carbons, zeolites, MOFs and PIMs.

Porous materials adsorb H2 through physisorption, a process which typically has a rather low enthalpy of adsorption (e.g. ca. 4 to 7 kJ mol(-1) for MOFs), thus requiring cryogenic temperatures for hydrogen storage. In this paper, we consider some of the issues associated with the accurate characterisation of the hydrogen adsorption properties of microporous materials. We present comparative gra...

Microporous polyphenylenes with tunable pore size for hydrogen storage.

A series of highly porous polymers with similar BET surface areas of higher than 1000 m(2) g(-1) but tunable pore ranging from 0.7 nm to 0.9 nm were synthesized through facile ethynyl trimerization reaction to demonstrate the surface property-hydrogen adsorption relationship.
