Dynamic Weighted PSVR-Based Ensembles for Prognostics of Nuclear Components

چکیده
Combining different physical and / or statistical predictive algorithms for Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) components into an ensemble can improve the robustness and accuracy of the prediction. In this paper, an ensemble approach is proposed for prediction of time series data based on a modified Probabilistic Support Vector Regression (PSVR) algorithm. We propose a modified Radial Basis Function (RBF) as kernel function to tackle time series data and two strategies to build diverse sub-models of the ensemble. A simple but effective strategy is used to combine the results from submodels built with PSVR, giving the ensemble prediction results. A real case study on a power production component is presented.

Nuclear Power Plant Components Condition Monitoring by Probabilistic Support Vector Machine
In this paper, an approach for the prediction of the condition of Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) components is proposed, for the purposes of condition monitoring. It builds on a modified version of the Probabilistic Support Vector Regression (PSVR) method, which is based on the Bayesian probabilistic paradigm with a Gaussian prior. Specific techniques are introduced for the tuning of the PSVR hyerpa...

متن کاملPSVR - Self-stabilizing Publish/Subscribe Communication for Ad-Hoc Networks (Short Paper)
This paper presents the novel routing algorithm PSVR for pub/sub systems in ad-hoc networks. Its focus is on scenarios where communications links are unstable and nodes frequently change subscriptions. PSVR presents a compromise of size and maintenance effort for routing tables due to suband unsubscriptions and the length of routing paths. Designed in a self-stabilizing manner it scales well wi...
متن کاملEnhanced Trajectory Based Similarity Prediction with Uncertainty Quantification
Today, data driven prognostics acquires historic data to generate degradation path and estimate the Remaining Useful Life (RUL) of a system. A successful methodology, Trajectory Similarity Based Prediction (TSBP) that details the process of predicting the system RUL and evaluating the performance metrics of the estimate was proposed in 2008. Two essential components of TSBP identified for poten...
