Statistical Model - Based Segmentationof Deformable

چکیده
We present a statistical method for the motion-based segmentation of deformable structures undergoing non-rigid movements. The proposed approach relies on two models describing the shape of interest, its variability and its movement. The rst model corresponds to a statistical deformable template that constrains the shape and its deformations. The second model is introduced to represent the optical ow eld inside the deformable template. These two models are combined within a single probability distribution which enables to derive optimal shape and motion estimates using a Maximum Likelihood approach. The method requires no manual initialization and is demonstrated here on medical X-ray image sequences.

متن کاملA Unified Statistical/Deterministic Deformable Model for LV Segmentation in Cardiac MRI
We propose a novel deformable model with statistical and deterministic components for LV segmentation in cardiac magnetic resonance (MR) cine images. The statistical deformable component learns a global reference model of the LV using Principal Component Analysis (PCA) while the deterministic deformable component consists of a finite-element deformable surface superimposed on the reference mode...

متن کاملAnalysis and Synthesis of Facial Expressions by Feature-Points Tracking and Deformable Model
Face expression recognition is useful for designing new interactive devices offering the possibility of new ways for human to interact with computer systems. In this paper we develop a facial expressions analysis and synthesis system. The analysis part of the system is based on the facial features extracted from facial feature points (FFP) in frontal image sequences. Selected facial feature poi...
متن کاملA Hierarchical Deformable Model Using Statistical and Geometric Information
A new deformable model has been proposed by employing a hierarchy of affine transformations and an adaptive-focus statistical model. An attribute vector is used to characterize the geometric structure in the vicinity of each point of the model; the deformable model then deforms in a way that seeks regions with the similar attribute vectors. This is in contrast to most active contour models, whi...
