چکیده

This paper presents a knowledge modeling approach to improve domain-independency in Spoken Dialogue Systems (SDS) architectures. We aim to support task oriented dialogue management strategies via an easy to use interface provided by an adaptive Domain Knowledge Manager (DKM). DKM is a broker that centralizes the knowledge of the domain using a Knowledge Integration Process (KIP) that merges on-the-fly local knowledge models. A local knowledge model defines a semantic interface and is associated to an artifact that can be a household appliance in a home domain or a cinema in a ticket-selling domain. We exemplify the reuse of a generic AmI domain model in a home domain and in a ticket-selling domain redefining the abstractions of artifact, class, and task. Our experimental setup is a domain simulator specially developed to reproduce an Ambient Intelligence (AmI) scenario.

Modeling Lateral Communication in Holonic Multi Agent Systems

Agents, in a multi agent system, communicate with each other through the process of exchanging messages which is called dialogue. Multi agent organization is generally used to optimize agents’ communications. Holonic organization demonstrates a self-similar recursive and hierarchical structure in which each holon may include some other holons. In a holonic system, lateral communication occurs b...

A Framework to Integrate Ubiquitous Knowledge Modeling

This paper describes our contribution to let end users configure mixed-initiative spoken dialogue systems to suit their personalized goals. The main problem that we want to address is the reconfiguration of spoken language dialogue systems to deal with generic plug and play artifacts. Such reconfiguration can be seen as a portability problem and is a critical research issue. In order to solve t...

Argumentation and Artifact for Dialogue Support

Intelligent and autonomous software agents may engage in dialogue and argument with one another, and much recent research has considered protocols, architectures and frameworks for this. Just as with human dialogues, such agent dialogues may be facilitated by the presence of a mediator, able to summarise different positions, identify common assumptions and inconsistencies, and make appropriate ...

A Theoretical Mass Transfer Approach for Prediction of Droplets Growth Inside Supersonic Laval Nozzle

Proper estimation of droplet growth rate plays a crucial role on appropriate prediction of supersonic separators performance for separation of fine droplets from a gas stream. Up to now, all available researches employ empirical or semi-empirical correlations to define the relationship between droplet growth rate (dr/dt) and other operating variables such as temperatures (T and TL), Pressure (P...

A partition-based algorithm for clustering large-scale software systems

Clustering techniques are used to extract the structure of software for understanding, maintaining, and refactoring. In the literature, most of the proposed approaches for software clustering are divided into hierarchical algorithms and search-based techniques. In the former, clustering is a process of merging (splitting) similar (non-similar) clusters. These techniques suffered from the drawba...
