Modeling and Performance Analysis of the Cognitive Radio Network in Presence of Queue for Secondary Users

چکیده
Cognitive Radio Network has been widely researched to improve utilization of radio electromagnetic spectrum efficiency usage. Spectrum occupancy in Cognitive framework includes licensed and unlicensed users sharing set of channel over a coverage area. In this paper, we develop a 2D Markov Model to define transition rate and analyze call dropping probability for unlicensed users and channel utilization in presence of queue. Our results suggests that in presence of queue our system can significantly improve channel efficiency and reduce call dropping probability for unlicensed users without interference to licensed users.

Secure Collaborative Spectrum Sensing in the Presence of Primary User Emulation Attack in Cognitive Radio Networks
Collaborative Spectrum Sensing (CSS) is an effective approach to improve the detection performance in Cognitive Radio (CR) networks. Inherent characteristics of the CR have imposed some additional security threats to the networks. One of the common threats is Primary User Emulation Attack (PUEA). In PUEA, some malicious users try to imitate primary signal characteristics and defraud the CR user...

Cognitive radio (CR) network is an excellent solution to the spectrum scarcity problem. Cooperative spectrum sensing (CSS) has been widely used to precisely detect of primary user (PU) signals. The trustworthiness of the CSS is vulnerable to spectrum sensing data falsification (SSDF) attack. In an SSDF attack, some malicious users intentionally report wrong sensing results to cheat the fusion c...

This paper deals with performance modeling aspects of radio frequency licensing. The utilization of mobile cellular networks can be increased by the idea of the cognitive radio. Licensed users (Primary Users PUs) and normal users (Secondary Users SUs) are considered. The main idea is, that the SUs are able to access to the available non-licensed radio frequencies. A finite-source retrial queuei...

Cognitive Radio (CR) networks enable dynamic spectrum access and can significantly improve spectral efficiency. Cooperative Spectrum Sensing (CSS) exploits the spatial diversity between CR users to increase sensing accuracy. However, in a realistic scenario, the trustworthy of CSS is vulnerable to Spectrum Sensing Data Falsification (SSDF) attack. In an SSDF attack, some malicious CR users deli...
