چکیده

Probabilistic automata (PA) combine probability and nondeterminism. They can be given different semantics, like strong bisimilarity, convex bisimilarity, or (more recently) distribution bisimilarity. The latter is based on the view of PA as transformers of probability distributions, also called belief states, and promotes distributions to first-class citizens. We give a coalgebraic account of the latter semantics, and explain the genesis of the beliefstate transformer from a PA. To do so, we make explicit the convex algebraic structure present in PA and identify belief-state transformers as transition systems with state space that carries a convex algebra. As a consequence of our abstract approach, we can give a sound proof technique which we call bisimulation up-to convex hull. 1998 ACM Subject Classification F.3 Logics and Meanings of Programs, G.3 Probability and Statistics, F.1.2 Modes of Computation, D.2.4 Software/Program verification

A class of certain properties of approximately n-multiplicative maps between locally multiplicatively convex algebras

‎We extend the notion of approximately multiplicative to approximately n-multiplicative maps between locally multiplicatively convex algebras and study some properties of these maps‎. ‎‎W‎e prove that every approximately n-multiplicative linear functional on a functionally continuous locally multiplicatively convex algebra is continuous‎. ‎We also study the relationship between approximately mu...

B -AND B - COMPLETENESS IN LOCALLY CONVEX ALGEBRAS AND THE E x THEOREM

Let E be a B-complete (B -complete) locally convex algebra and $ the topological direct sum of countably many copies of the scalar field with a jointly continuous algebra multiplication. It has been shown that E is also B-complete (B -complete) for componentwise multiplication on E . B-and Br-completeness of E , the unitization of E, and also of E x for other multiplications on E ...

ALGEBRAS WITH CYCLE-FINITE STRONGLY SIMPLY CONNECTED GALOIS COVERINGS

Let $A$ be a nite dimensional $k-$algebra and $R$ be a locally bounded category such that $R rightarrow R/G = A$ is a Galois covering dened by the action of a torsion-free group of automorphisms of $R$. Following [30], we provide criteria on the convex subcategories of a strongly simply connected category R in order to be a cycle- nite category and describe the module category of $A$. We p...

Certain subalgebras of Lipschitz algebras of infinitely differentiable functions and their maximal ideal spaces

We study an interesting class of Banach function algebras of innitely dierentiable functions onperfect, compact plane sets. These algebras were introduced by Honary and Mahyar in 1999, calledLipschitz algebras of innitely dierentiable functions and denoted by Lip(X;M; ), where X is aperfect, compact plane set, M = fMng1n=0 is a sequence of positive numbers such that M0 = 1 and(m+n)!Mm+n ( m!Mm)...

Equicontinuity of power maps in locally pseudo-convex algebras

We show that, in any unitary (commutative or not) Baire locally pseudoconvex algebra with a continuous product, the power maps are equicontinuous at zero if all entire functions operate. We obtain the same conclusion if every element is bounded. An immediate consequence is a result of A. Arosio on commutative and complete metrizable locally convex algebras.
