Bipancyclic subgraphs in random bipartite graphs

چکیده
A bipartite graph on 2n vertices is bipancyclic if it contains cycles of all even lengths from 4 to 2n. In this paper we prove that the random bipartite graph G(n, n, p) with p(n) À n−2/3 asymptotically almost surely has the following resilience property: Every Hamiltonian subgraph G′ of G(n, n, p) with more than (1/2 + o(1))n2p edges is bipancyclic. This result is tight in two ways. First, the range of p is essentially best possible. Second, the proportion 1/2 of edges cannot be reduced. Our result extends a classical theorem of Mitchem and Schmeichel.

Matchings in Random Biregular Bipartite Graphs
We study the existence of perfect matchings in suitably chosen induced subgraphs of random biregular bipartite graphs. We prove a result similar to a classical theorem of Erdős and Rényi about perfect matchings in random bipartite graphs. We also present an application to commutative graphs, a class of graphs that are featured in additive number theory.
متن کاملConnected bipancyclic isomorphic m-factorizations of the Cartesian product of graphs
Abstract An m-factorization of a graph is a decomposition of its edge set into edge-disjoint m-regular spanning subgraphs (or factors). In this paper, we prove the existence of an isomorphic m-factorization of the Cartesian product of graphs each of which is decomposable into Hamiltonian even cycles. Moreover, each factor in the m-factorization is m-connected, and bipancyclic for m ≥ 4 and near...
متن کاملThe distinguishing chromatic number of bipartite graphs of girth at least six
The distinguishing number $D(G)$ of a graph $G$ is the least integer $d$ such that $G$ has a vertex labeling with $d$ labels that is preserved only by a trivial automorphism. The distinguishing chromatic number $chi_{D}(G)$ of $G$ is defined similarly, where, in addition, $f$ is assumed to be a proper labeling. We prove that if $G$ is a bipartite graph of girth at least six with the maximum ...
متن کاملRegular pairs in sparse random graphs I
We consider bipartite subgraphs of sparse random graphs that are regular in the sense of Szemerédi and, among other things, show that they must satisfy a certain local pseudorandom property. This property and its consequences turn out to be useful when considering embedding problems in subgraphs of sparse random graphs.
