Green synthesis of Au-Ag nanoparticles using Mentha piperita and effects of Au-Ag alloy nanoparticles on the growth of Mentha piperita under salinity stress
Salinity stress reduces plant metabolic activity, which reduces plant growth in saline environments. this study aimed to investigate the effect of salinity stress as one of the limiting factors of plant growth and the effect of nanoparticles on stress conditions as one of the auxiliary factors in plant control against stressful conditions by studying physiological factors such as soluble sugars...
متن کاملA Novel Physical Approach for Cationic–Thiolate Protected Fluorescent Gold Nanoparticles
Knowledge on the synthesis of cationically charged fluorescent gold nanoparticles (Au NPs) is limited because the electrostatic repulsion between cationic ligands on the surface of NP hinders the formation of small Au NPs (usually less than ca. 2 nm) during nucleation in solvents. We herein propose a novel methodology for a synthesis of water-dispersible, cationic-thiolate protected fluorescent...

متن کاملSynthesis of embedded Au nanostructures by ion irradiation: influence of ion induced viscous flow and sputtering
The ion-irradiation induced synthesis of embedded Au nanoparticles (NPs) into glass from islands of Au on a glass substrate is studied in the context of recoiling atoms, sputtering and viscous flow. Cross sectional transmission electron microscopy studies revealed the formation of Au NPs embedded in the glass substrates by the 50 keV Si(-) ion irradiation of irregularly shaped Au nanostructures...
