Computer Aided Formalization of Mathematics - Converting Mizar into OMDoc
نویسندگان
چکیده
We are attempting a conversion of the over 30-year-old Mizar system into the (by comparison) recently developed format OMDoc. This paper deals with low-level observations and conversion decisions, and includes some examples of the to-date conversion progress.

Towards a Mizar Mathematical Library in OMDoc Format
Mizar is one of largest libraries of formalized mathematics. The language of the library is highly optimized for authoring by humans. Like in natural languages, the meaning of an expression is influenced by its (mathematical) context in a way that is natural to humans, but hard to specify for machine manipulation. From this point of view, it may be considered as locked up in an arcane file form...
متن کاملAn OMDoc representation of Mizar library
Mizar library is one of the largest database of formalized mathematics. It contains mathematical articles which were collected over almost 20 years. Even though the database is highly optimized for human access, machines, on the other hand, can hardly understand and process the data. Thus the stored knowledge cannot be manipulated at its highest potential. Therefore Mizar System can be seen as ...
متن کاملFormal Verification of DES Using the Mizar Proof Checker
In this paper, we introduce our formalization of Data Encryption Standard (DES) algorithm. DES, which was formerly the most widely used symmetric cryptosystem in the world, is a block cipher that was selected by the National Bureau of Standards as an official Federal Information Processing Standard for the United States in 1976. We prove the correctness of our formalization by using the Mizar p...
متن کاملFormal Verification of AES Using the Mizar Proof Checker
In this paper, we introduce our formalization of the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) algorithm. AES, which is the most widely used symmetric cryptosystem in the world, is a block cipher that was selected by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) as an official Federal Information Processing Standard for the United States in 2001. We prove the correctness of our formalizati...
متن کاملComputerising Mathematical Text
Mathematical texts can be computerised in many ways that capture differing amounts of the mathematical meaning. At one end, there is document imaging, which captures the arrangement of black marks on paper, while at the other end there are proof assistants (e.g., Mizar, Isabelle, Coq, etc.), which capture the full mathematical meaning and have proofs expressed in a formal foundation of mathemat...
