Content-Based Access Control

چکیده
Social networking sites, blogs, photo and video galleries, and other content publishing tools are enabling Internet users to share their experiences and opinions with larger audiences more easily than ever before. With this increased sharing comes a pressing need for access-control policies and mechanisms to protect users’ privacy and safety. Traditional access-control mechanisms, however, are inflexible and require users to laboriously label every object with an access-control policy, a task most Internet users are unwilling or insufficiently skilled to do. To solve this problem, we propose the use of ContentBased Access Control (CBAC), which lets users specify a single, intuitive access-control policy based on object features and then automatically applies that policy to new objects as they are created. We can apply techniques from natural language processing, image processing and machine learning to perform this task. CBAC provides the necessary bridge between a user’s intuitive access control policy, such as “Only people in a photograph may view that photograph,” and policy enforcement.

Name-Based Access Control
This paper presents a content-based access control access control model for content stored in network storage. The model enforces the access control directly over content through encrypting content at the time of production, rather than relying on a third party (such as data storage) as traditional perimeter-based access control model. We present the design of Name-based Access Control (NAC), w...
متن کاملContent-Based Access Control
In conventional database, the most popular access control model specifies policies explicitly for each role of every user against each data object manually. Nowadays, in large-scale content-centric data sharing, conventional approaches could be impractical due to exponential explosion of the data growth and the sensitivity of data objects. What’s more, conventional database access control polic...
متن کاملContent-based Management of Document Access Control
Three different security models have been advocated to determine the access rights to documents in a network of computers; DAC, MLS, and RBAC. Each of these models has its strength and weakness. No one can urge that any of these models can offer alone by itself an automated support for either the security or the access rights. In this paper, we propose a content-based management model for the a...

متن کاملA combination of semantic and attribute-based access control model for virtual organizations
A Virtual Organization (VO) consists of some real organizations with common interests, which aims to provide inter organizational associations to reach some common goals by sharing their resources with each other. Providing security mechanisms, and especially a suitable access control mechanism, which enforces the defined security policy is a necessary requirement in VOs. Since VO is a complex ...
