چکیده

This article describes an operating environment for control systems. This environment contains the basic layers of a distributed operating system. The design of this operating environment is based on the requirements demanded by controllers which can be found in complex control systems. Due to the nature of real-time control systems, special attention has to be payed to an efficient implementation of the basic communication protocol and buffering method. This operating environment has been implemented andperformance measurements have been carried out for several different strategies. The described operating environment which is used for robot control, will be embedded in a larger high level transputer operating system.

An Enhanced Transputer Server Architecture

This paper describes an Enhanced Transputer Server Architecture (ETSA). The purpose of ETSA is to provide a more flexible and sophisticated environment for interacting with transputer systems than is provided by existing server models. ETSA is a network-based architecture that permits the user of a transputer system to be remote from that system. ETSA supports arbitrary server communication pro...

Application of ANN Technique for Interconnected Power System Load Frequency Control (RESEARCH NOTE)

This paper describes an application of Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) to Load Frequency Control (LFC) of nonlinear power systems. Power systems, such as other industrial processes, have parametric uncertainties that for controller design had to take the uncertainties in to account. For this reason, in the design of LFC controller the idea of robust control theories are being used. To improve ...

The Functional Specification of occam Programs for Time Critical Applications

This paper addresses the fundamental requirement that real–time control systems must meet their timing constraints. This paper concentrates on using the functional specification language PAISLey to specify and analyse timing constraints in parallel systems. The PAISLey approach is introduced and specification of Milner’s jobshop is given using this language. This is then transformed in a struct...

A Study on DynamicLoad Balancing

Dynamic load balancing techniques have proved to be the most critical part of an eecient implementation of various algorithms on large distributed computing systems. In this paper a classification of dynamic distributed load balancing algorithms for homogeneous multiprocessor systems is introduced and a general test bed, using a random branch & bound load-generator, for evaluating load balancin...
