Bayesian Propagation for Perceiving Moving Objects
نویسندگان
چکیده
In this paper we address the issue of how form and motion can be integrated in order to provide suitable information to attentively track multiple moving objects. Such integration is designed in a Bayesian framework, and a Belief Propagation technique is exploited to perform coherent form/motion labelling of regions of the observed scene. Experiments on both synthetic and real data are presented and discussed.

Statistical Background Modeling Based on Velocity and Orientation of Moving Objects
Background modeling is an important step in moving object detection and tracking. In this paper, we propose a new statistical approach in which, a sequence of frames are selected according to velocity and direction of some moving objects and then an initial background is modeled, based on the detection of gray pixel's value changes. To have used this sequence of frames, no estimator or distribu...
متن کاملStructure of Wavelet Covariance Matrices and Bayesian Wavelet Estimation of Autoregressive Moving Average Model with Long Memory Parameter’s
In the process of exploring and recognizing of statistical communities, the analysis of data obtained from these communities is considered essential. One of appropriate methods for data analysis is the structural study of the function fitting by these data. Wavelet transformation is one of the most powerful tool in analysis of these functions and structure of wavelet coefficients are very impor...
متن کاملA Novel Method for Tracking Moving Objects using Block-Based Similarity
Extracting and tracking active objects are two major issues in surveillance and monitoring applications such as nuclear reactors, mine security, and traffic controllers. In this paper, a block-based similarity algorithm is proposed in order to detect and track objects in the successive frames. We define similarity and cost functions based on the features of the blocks, leading to less computati...
متن کاملPerceiving curvilinear heading in the presence of moving objects.
Four experiments were directed at understanding the influence of multiple moving objects on curvilinear (i.e., circular and elliptical) heading perception. Displays simulated observer movement over a ground plane in the presence of moving objects depicted as transparent, opaque, or black cubes. Objects either moved parallel to or intersected the observer's path and either retreated from or appr...
متن کاملPerceiving Spatial Relations via Attentional Tracking and Shifting
Perceiving which of a scene's objects are adjacent may require selecting them with a limited-capacity attentional process. Previous results support this notion [1-3] but leave open whether the process operates simultaneously on several objects or proceeds one by one. With arrays of colored discs moving together, we first tested the effect of moving the discs faster than the speed limit for foll...
