techniques from Computer Graphics, Vision and Animation

چکیده
Our goal in this project is to push forward the state-of-the-art by calling into the scene real-time interaction and vision techniques. In this way, by integrating motion capture with procedural graphics and live displays, we expand the creative possibilities enabling graphical elements to be used, not as a mere passive set element, but primarily as an active one – a virtual agent capable of interacting with other actors in the scene under the guidance of the directorchoreographer.

Computer vision framework for adding CG Simulations
Rendering synthetic simulations into real world scenes is an important application of both Computer Graphics (CG) and Computer Vision (CV). CV techniques have been used to reconstruct the 3D models of the real world scenes. As part of my course project, I’ve implemented computer vision modules for calibrating camera, computing stereo, computing depth-maps, computing 3D models and a graphics int...
متن کاملImage Based Rendering in Computer Graphics
The fields of computer vision and computer graphics are, in some sense, the duals of each other. In computer vision the goal is to extract information about a 3D scene from a single image or many images of the scene taken from different viewpoints, while the main goal of a computer graphics system is to generate 2D images (or a sequence of 2D images in the case of computer animation) from 3D da...
متن کاملInteractive Video-Based Motion Capture for Character Animation
We combine techniques from interactive computer graphics and automated computer vision to extract articulated body movement from video. Active contours and techniques from image processing are used to identify features and establish feature relationships from frame to frame. A threedimensional hierarchical model is associated with active contours, which then kinematically “pull” the model along...
متن کاملVision for Graphics
Creating compelling-looking content using conventional graphics techniques is often laborious and requires significant artistry and experience. Two related issues that we’ve been investigating are how this content-creation process can be simplified without sacrificing quality, and how rendering can be made photorealistic or compelling. In this paper, we describe how images and videos can be pro...
متن کاملFrom Explicit to Implicit Surfaces for Visualization, Animation and Modeling
Deformable 3–D models are used extensively in Computer Graphics and Computer Vision for Visualization, Animation and Modeling. They can be represented either as traditional explicit surfaces, such as triangulated meshes, or as implicit surfaces. On one hand, explicit surfaces can easily be manually deformed by users, such as graphics designers, either directly by moving the mesh vertices or ind...
