Integral Stable Allocation Problem on Graphs

چکیده
As a generalisation of the stable matching problem Bäıou and Balinski [3] defined the stable allocation problem for bipartite graphs, where both the edges and the vertices may have capacities. They constructed a so-called inductive algorithm, that always finds a stable allocation in strongly polynomial time. Here, we generalise their algorithm for non-bipartite graphs with integral capacities. We show that the algorithm does not remain polynomial, although we also present a scaling technique that makes the algorithm weakly polynomial.

Matching Integral Graphs of Small Order
In this paper, we study matching integral graphs of small order. A graph is called matching integral if the zeros of its matching polynomial are all integers. Matching integral graphs were first studied by Akbari, Khalashi, etc. They characterized all traceable graphs which are matching integral. They studied matching integral regular graphs. Furthermore, it has been shown that there is no matc...
متن کاملBoundary temperature reconstruction in an inverse heat conduction problem using boundary integral equation method
In this paper, we consider an inverse boundary value problem for two-dimensional heat equation in an annular domain. This problem consists of determining the temperature on the interior boundary curve from the Cauchy data (boundary temperature and heat flux) on the exterior boundary curve. To this end, the boundary integral equation method is used. Since the resulting system of linea...
متن کاملOn a connection between facility location and perfect graphs
We characterize the graphs for which a linear relaxation of a facility location problem defines a polytope with all integral extreme points. We use a transformation to a stable set problem in perfect graphs. Based on this transformation, these graphs can be recognized in polynomial time. © 2014 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
متن کاملA Bi-level Formulation for Centralized Resource Allocation DEA Models
In this paper, the common centralized DEA models are extended to the bi-level centralized resource allocation (CRA) models based on revenue efficiency. Based on the Karush–Kuhn–Tucker (KKT) conditions, the bi-level CRA model is reduced to a one-level mathematical program subject to complementarity constraints (MPCC). A recurrent neural network is developed for solving this one-level mathematica...
متن کاملPerformance of a greedy algorithm for edge covering by cliques in interval graphs
In this paper a greedy algorithm to detect conflict cliques in interval graphs and circular-arc graphs is analysed. In a graph, a stable set requires that at most one vertex is chosen for each edge. It is equivalent to requiring that at most one vertex for each maximal clique is chosen. We show that this algorithm finds all maximal cliques for interval graphs, i.e. it can compute the convex hul...
