چکیده

We consider the millimeter-wave electrodynamics specific to quasi-two-dimensional conductors and superconductors based on the organic donor molecule BEDT-TTF. Using realistic physical parameters, we examine the current polarizations that result for different oscillating (GHz) electric and magnetic field polarizations. We show that, in general, it is possible to discriminate between effects (dissipation and dispersion) due to in-plane and interlayer ac currents. However, we also show that it is not possible to selectively probe any single component of the in-plane conductivity tensor, and that excitation of interlayer currents is strongly influenced by the sample geometry and the electromagnetic field polarization.

Superconductivity in Layered Organic Metals

In this short review, I will give an overview on the current understanding of the superconductivity in quasi-two-dimensional organic metals. Thereby, I will focus on charge-transfer salts based on bis(ethylenedithio)tetrathiafulvalene (BEDT-TTF or ET for short). In these materials, strong electronic correlations are clearly evident, resulting in unique phase diagrams. The layered crystallograph...

Fermi - surface topology and the effects of intrinsic disorder in a class of charge - transfer salts containing magnetic ions : b 9 - „ BEDT - TTF

We report high-field magnetotransport measurements on b9-(BEDT-TTF)4@(H3O)M (C2O4)3#Y , where M 5Ga, Cr, and Fe and Y5C5H5N. We observe similar Shubnikov–de Haas oscillations in all compounds, attributable to four quasi-two-dimensional Fermi-surface pockets, the largest of which corresponds to a crosssectional area '8.5% of the Brillouin zone. The cross-sectional areas of the pockets are in agr...

The angular dependent magnetoresistance in α-(BEDT- TTF)2KHg(SCN)4

– In spite of extensive experimental studies of the angular dependent magnetoresistance (ADMR) of the low temperature phase (LTP) of α-(BEDT-TTF)2KHg(SCN)4 about a decade ago, the nature of LTP remains elusive. Here we present a new study of ADMR of LTP in α−(ET)2 salts assuming that LTP is unconventional charge density wave (UCDW). In the presence of magnetic field the quasiparticle spectrum i...

Self - organization of charge under pressure in the organic conductor ( TMTSF )

– (TMTSF)2ReO4 presents a phase coexistence between two anion orderings defined by their wave vectors q2 = (1/2, 1/2, 1/2) and q3 = (0, 1/2, 1/2) in a wide range of pressure (8-11kbar) and temperature. From the determination of the anisotropy of the conductivity and the superconducting transitions in this regime we were able to extract the texture which results from a self-organization of the o...
